The Federal Ministry of IT and Telecommunications (MoITT) has announced plans to teach a variety of new and specialised skills to 15,000 Pakistanis.
15,000 students (including women and youth) participating in MoITT’s “Professional Technology and Platform Capacity Building in the IT Industry” project will learn about modern technologies such as blockchain, machine learning, artificial intelligence, digital twin, cyber security, Cloud Computing, and eHealth. , BPO and others.
Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), a subsidiary of MoITT, consults with IT industry and academia experts to select and focus on the technologies the industry needs. Training 15,000 startups will cost $2 billion. With the start of the first phase of education, the Pakistani government has allocated $1 billion.
Depending on the specific situation, the project will train 300 dedicated teachers to train students in various technologies required by the business, including blockchain and cloud computing. Businesses then make an effort from these consultants with HR development, education and training.
The Ministry of Information and Telecommunications, Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), Pakistan Software Companies Association (PASHA) and other stakeholders will be represented in the senior working group for technical partner coach, training and time selection. The program will also conduct a comprehensive economic assessment before moving to Tier 2, which will help identify the need for skilled workers and appropriate equipment. Survey results will be used as criteria for selecting companies and training programs, and IT companies may also choose to participate in online programs in which 2,500 out of 15,000 trainees will work in IT companies for 3 months with a monthly salary of Rs. 25,000 and have the potential to work in the future.
